To Blog or not to Blog on Sailblog?

12 March 2012 | Kingston, Ontario
Jennifer-sunny and spring-like
I struggle with the notion of whether I/we should suspend our boat blogging and I should reve up my knitting blog exclusively. I guess either way the content would still not be exclusive to the topic. We have acquired some interesting pieces to repurpose. One chair in particular I find rather homely(green one) but for what ever reason it tugs at my heart strings. I bought them for their usefulness and perhaps quirkiness. The two chair shown have scant arm rests lending to ease of knitting. The flowery one in particular has been christened the "knitting chair". The stool lends a nice dimension to the comfort and relaxation to the art of knitting. The green one, although comfortable; esthetically it is just plain "homely". My dear friend Donna acquired these for me and then (Happy Birthday friend) steered me to an Ad on Kijiji for an upholsterer. I made contact and was pleasantly surprised a woman was the responder. She has 15 years experience and she is coming here at 1:30 today with references and an album of her work. I'm having a good feeling about breathing new life into these chairs and that we enjoy a good future with them.

We are settling into land life rather nicely. Alistair will head off on his bus pass today to do errands alone while I consult with the upholsterer. We are ticking wee things on our list.
