Al is home for his second weekend. So far things are going smooth. His daughters arrived yesterday from Montreal. Before they arrived I had Al working on some communication home work. He was not keen but I told him weekends home were not vacation and that I intended to keep him on a bit of a rehab schedule. He agreed to do his communication and said he would wait until his girls arrived to do his physical exercises. He said he felt safer with more than just me helping but I think it was because he wanted to show his daughters his progress. After their arrival, he did a few standing and balancing exercises and then they took to the hall way for some walking with the quad cane. Tonia is shown spotting him and Natasha followed close behind with his wheelchair to be ready when he fatigued. There will be more of this today.
We had a wonderful home cooked Italian spaghetti and meatball supper compliments of Tonia's Italian grandfather. The sauce and meatballs were the best I have ever tasted. The man is a good cook for his 80+ years. We topped off supper with a fresh apple crumble pie. As Tonia said, you know fall is in the air when apple pie starts appearing.
