Blazing Trails

30 September 2012 | Kingston
Jennifer
Al is home for the weekend and he is managing well with the new quad cane brought to him by Tonia. He is blazing around the apartment using the cane as his main mobility. Tonia and I have been on high alert in case of falls, but he is making it clear he wants to be independent.

Yesterday he walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth, a first. There is no stopping him now.

We had an outing to make some purchases, like fall track pants. Tonia got her dad two new pair, with the cooler weather they are necessary. Today I'll whip up an apple pie and well have a pork tenderloin super before we send Tonia on her way back to Montreal.
