Jennifer - getting colder
Al settled in last night, he is glad to be home. He is now discharged and finished his stay at SMOL. I picked up his drugs at the pharmacy. He is doing well ambulating about the house. He will start getting in home physio next week as well as continued speech therapy and occupational therapy as needed. I'm happy for this to start and for us to start navigating our new life. He seems a bit lethargic right now but I think its because we are both fighting colds from all the bugs going around at SMOL.
I have some fresh vegetables from a friends garden so today I am going to try beet soup. I may add some kale since its a power veg, maybe this will help us combat whats lurking.
Al's comfy, electric chair is on indefinite loan from a family friend. It was used by a friend who succumbed to his cancer so its a pay it forward and Al is enjoying it as you can see. What you can't see is Miss Bridget snuggled under the blanket. She knows a good thing.
