Happy Anniversary To Us

Four years ago today marks the first day Al and I laid eyes on each other. We had met and communicated on line for 3-4 weeks then agreed to meet in person when he returned to Canada after living on his 53' sailboat in Trinidad. He agreed to meet me after an Appointment I had, turned out he met me in the lobby at St. Mary's of the lake Hospital. He recognized me immediately and there was no me mistaking him as he was the most tanned person in the lobby. He gave me a hug, planted a kiss on my cheek, took my hand and out we walked hand in hand to his 4x4. The rest is history.

Congratulations! Wonderful. Have a nice trip I will be watching for updates. Watch out for the crab pots in the water, they are everywhere down the channel.

Commander Radford

Yesterday I joined Pete & Pokey attending Ron's installation as Commander of the Daytona version of USPS(United States Power Squadron) Ron was decked out in his trident uniform and he looked quite dapper. Ron is a dock neighbor, he and his wife Doris reside aboard Rejoice. Al stayed home as he had a bug and was feeling unwell. The ceremony was long and it started with an allegiance to the flag, I put my hand to my heart and lip synced the rest.

Daytona was crazy as it is bike week. I think I've talked Al into keeping the rental car one more day so we can drive there today to see some of the hoopla. And pick up some 5 for $20 tee-shirts.

Grampa FUZZY turns 65

This is our friend Pete with the strawberry sparkle cake I made him. Its weird to be in strawberry season already. In Kingston it doesn't happen until mid-June. I made homemade Pizza for the meal. And no you can NEVER have too much WHIPPED CREAM.

This afternoon a group of us will go to Halifax Marina in Daytona where another friend Ron will get installed as a Commodore. It will be a nice outting.

I did these baby snUGG boots modelled by Miss Bridget. Next time I'll be more careful with my seaming. They were afun knit and I think they are WAY CUTE. Any felted project is a hoot since the before felted state is ridiculously huge. I'm working on adult slippers nowthat are so big they look like they could be Bridgets bed.

In other news we are delaying leaving for a week for various reasons one being, the time changes next weekend which will make for more fun at anchor. The weather here is looking gray for this week too so being hooked into shore power will be nice.

Play Day

Bridget seemed a bit bored on Thursday so we invited Blackie over for a play date. I had been doing laundry and they were curious to see what I was up to. Al is finishing up wee bits before we take off. I felted a pair of baby UGG boots today. Next time I'll try to be more careful easing in the sole but I think they are still adorable.
