For As Long As It Lasts
All alone.

Well I took Jennifer to Miami Airport on Wednesday to fly home to Kingston, as she has a few things she has to take care off there & also to visit with family. There is not much to do except wait for the transmission to arrive, be checked, & reconnected. As of yesterday it was in Jacksonville FL! scheduled for delivery Monday. Even if all looks good we will have all the seals & most likely the clutch plates replaced while it is opened up. Today I removed the oil cooler, it looked clean but will take it to the shop & clean it & air blast the oil tubes. Not sure about taking the boat back to Palm Coast.. Either I will do it alone or get Jennifer to fly back to help me, then both of us fly back to Kingston for a while.
Tim & Gina are supposed to be making the jump today over to the Bahamas. It's a small world. While heading for the airport & passing through Key Largo, we spied Tim walking along the road. We stopped & backed up honking our horn but he would not turn around!!! He's paranoid.... We eventually caught up with him. He was on his way to the drug store, what he was told was a short walk. Having gone passed it we knew it was a LONG walk, so we gave him a lift, waited for him & then dropped him back at the park entrance.
Miss B & I, miss the love of our lives.

This is the baby washcloth finished. I'm going to make the next on a wee bit smaller, after all they should be baby sized.

Knitting looks great... Tats are wearing a bit thin. Tell that tat guy to dig deeper for a long lasting tat.

FELTING again

I've been keeping myself out of the tattoo parlor by focusing on knitting. I decided to use up some Cascade 220 and have tried this new slipper pattern. As you can see they are the size of Bridget. The washers here unfortunately do not put out the required hot water to do the job so I'll bring them home to Canada to felt them adequately there. I'm also on a stint of making baby washcloths from the neatest blend of ultra soft organic cotton and milk fiber. Milk? A fiber....who knew?????

Well we still have not heard whether our transmission is on it's way or whether in fact it has been shipped yet!! Very frustrating.
On Saturday evening we went with Tim & Gina to the local theater, to see a community play/dance recital. It was cute & in spots also funny. They had everything from classical to tap, Belly dancing, Irish, with all ages from 6 - 60 something.
Last night we joined Tim/Gina, Klauss/Rosmary & Bob & Mary at Dockside to bid Tim & Gina farewell. They are leaving this morning to head over to The Bahamas, & we wish them fair winds & calm seas & hope to hear from them when they get there.

Underwater AWESOMENESS

Sailblogs has been down for maintenance. On Wednesday Gina and I popped for the $25.00 to go to Sombrero Reef to snorkel on board The STARFISH.. It as worth every cent. The price included the trip and equipment. We each had our own gear, I am totally opposed to using mouth pieces used by a gazillion other folks, no matter what industrial strength antiseptic they use for sanitizing. The water was a perfect temperature for lingering in the water for 2 hours taking in the sights. It was beautiful and clear and so much to take in. It was like a whole other world under there. There was a diving school there as well and I watched new divers exploring and for the first time ever, thought I'd like to try SCUBA.

We saw hundreds of types of fish and coral. There was a sea turtle the size of a Honda. I saw a meter long barracuda; in fact there were many barracuda. It was a lovely morning and I was pooped by the time we rode our bikes back to Close Knit.

When we arrived back I was mildly chastised by my sweet potato pie. Our door to outside that is starboard, often slides open by itself. When I left, just before 8am I latched it on the outside mindful of keeping the air-conditioning inside. Shortly after my departure Al realized he was LOCKED INSIDE. OOPPPS He tried to extricate himself through the aft cabin door that leads outside. Because of the air-conditioning he had forgotten he had fastened down the outside canvas with the poppers all around. He was locked in tighter than Fort Drum. After unlatching the inside latches he tried to push outward hoping to un-pop the canvas. From his banging he heard a voice on the other side ask if he needed help. Al did request the help. The gentleman boarded and un-popped the snaps allowing Al to get out. Al told him I had locked him in and that I had left. He made it sound dramatic I think. So now Close Knit is all the scuttlebutt about the wife who locked the husband inside. Yup that's how rumours start. Al asked me in future to try to remember and not secure the door from the outside DOH!
