A wee photo of the tiny garden my daughter has goining in the back yard. My front flower garden has become horribly over grown but I have been poking away at it. Most of my effort so fsar has been going into clearing stuff out of the basement.

Kiley and I took a break from our basement work and master bedroom update work to walk down to the Farmers Market. Our walk down was pleasant and I was reminded of all the great things Kingston has to offer in the summer. We got coffee and cheeses at Cookes. Some Ginger beer at Tara to make Dark & Stormies. And stopped at Panchancho for bread. I'm talikg a wee break now for this post and then I'll get back to work. Culling through the basement stuff is a lot of work. Kiley is sanding and getting her new bedroom ready to paint and I priced new flooring today for that. I'm going to see if I can sweet talk my brother in law into helping us with it, but I think most of it we can do ourselves.

Kingston Update

I have been in Kingston since Thursday, there has been some rain, but nice today with a temperature of 75 ish. So far I have done some weeding, but my main job to get done while home is to get order in the basement.

I spent the weekend with my sister since my bro-in-law was on a fishing trip because bass season opened here on Saturday. Cathy and I sure can entertsain ourselves. I cooked up a great Cunan supper last night.

Today Kenzie and I tackled one corner of the basement and so it's a start. There will be several loads to take to Salvation Army and we need to get some strong men to take out a fridge and washing machine. I found two sail bags and three sails So when Alistair comes back we will photograph them and see if we cam sell them. There are a few other boat related items that we can sell also. I'm culling through dishes and kitchen ware, all things my daughters don't need so I'm planning to pack all these things in an orderly fashion for when the time comes when we are land dwellers again. At the moment my eldest daughter is living in my house and taking care of it. The house is all outfitted with her tastes and things. I still have a bed to use while here so I do have a place to crash.

I'm hoping the stars align and this transmission fix goes really well. I'm not missing the heat and humidity but do miss my man and Miss B.

Well tomorrow Monday is the big day the Transmission arrives. I'm praying, keeping fingers/toes crossed that it is in good condition, I need to get out of here!!!!! I lost our cell phone somewhere between getting into a taxi & getting out, so have been out of touch with my love, even the high speed internet connection has been down for the last 3 days, so I am not happy.. The picture is of our neighbors, they come in all sorts of colors & some are twice this size, Miss B doesn't know what to make of them, I think she is chicken, she just barks & her raises her hackles.

Well I took Jennifer to Miami Airport on Wednesday to fly home to Kingston, as she has a few things she has to take care off there & also to visit with family. There is not much to do except wait for the transmission to arrive, be checked, & reconnected. As of yesterday it was in Jacksonville FL! scheduled for delivery Monday. Even if all looks good we will have all the seals & most likely the clutch plates replaced while it is opened up. Today I removed the oil cooler, it looked clean but will take it to the shop & clean it & air blast the oil tubes. Not sure about taking the boat back to Palm Coast.. Either I will do it alone or get Jennifer to fly back to help me, then both of us fly back to Kingston for a while.
Tim & Gina are supposed to be making the jump today over to the Bahamas. It's a small world. While heading for the airport & passing through Key Largo, we spied Tim walking along the road. We stopped & backed up honking our horn but he would not turn around!!! He's paranoid.... We eventually caught up with him. He was on his way to the drug store, what he was told was a short walk. Having gone passed it we knew it was a LONG walk, so we gave him a lift, waited for him & then dropped him back at the park entrance.
Miss B & I, miss the love of our lives.

This is the baby washcloth finished. I'm going to make the next on a wee bit smaller, after all they should be baby sized.

Knitting looks great... Tats are wearing a bit thin. Tell that tat guy to dig deeper for a long lasting tat.
