In my whirlwind cleaning I came across 3 sails. Alistair suggested he'd try selling them when he is home next, but I thought cruisers need them now not in 6-8 weeks. So I put them up on Kijiji and a nice young man from Ottawa bought the biggest genoa and 2 west marine recliners SCORE.

a DOG? Since being home my bed has been frequented by another male. Charles aka my boy grandson has taken a liking to sleeping with me. He is much larger than Bridget and he insists on being under the covers. He has the most silken coat and hes pretty affectionate. My daughter has done well with him and he is quite well behaved and has good manners.

As you can see I don't know how to post multiple photos on a post. This sculpture was in a window at Trugs a flower/novelty/garden store on Brock St. Since I don't think Alistair would like me to bring this back, I thought I could just enjoy the photo.

A wee photo of the tiny garden my daughter has goining in the back yard. My front flower garden has become horribly over grown but I have been poking away at it. Most of my effort so fsar has been going into clearing stuff out of the basement.

Kiley and I took a break from our basement work and master bedroom update work to walk down to the Farmers Market. Our walk down was pleasant and I was reminded of all the great things Kingston has to offer in the summer. We got coffee and cheeses at Cookes. Some Ginger beer at Tara to make Dark & Stormies. And stopped at Panchancho for bread. I'm talikg a wee break now for this post and then I'll get back to work. Culling through the basement stuff is a lot of work. Kiley is sanding and getting her new bedroom ready to paint and I priced new flooring today for that. I'm going to see if I can sweet talk my brother in law into helping us with it, but I think most of it we can do ourselves.

Kingston Update
I have been in Kingston since Thursday, there has been some rain, but nice today with a temperature of 75 ish. So far I have done some weeding, but my main job to get done while home is to get order in the basement.
I spent the weekend with my sister since my bro-in-law was on a fishing trip because bass season opened here on Saturday. Cathy and I sure can entertsain ourselves. I cooked up a great Cunan supper last night.
Today Kenzie and I tackled one corner of the basement and so it's a start. There will be several loads to take to Salvation Army and we need to get some strong men to take out a fridge and washing machine. I found two sail bags and three sails So when Alistair comes back we will photograph them and see if we cam sell them. There are a few other boat related items that we can sell also. I'm culling through dishes and kitchen ware, all things my daughters don't need so I'm planning to pack all these things in an orderly fashion for when the time comes when we are land dwellers again. At the moment my eldest daughter is living in my house and taking care of it. The house is all outfitted with her tastes and things. I still have a bed to use while here so I do have a place to crash.
I'm hoping the stars align and this transmission fix goes really well. I'm not missing the heat and humidity but do miss my man and Miss B.
