Big Breakers

01 March 2008 | Ixtapa, Mexico
Melissa
We've still got big breakers here. We took a picture or two of them yesterday. We're going to be in the marina until the waves / swell subside and the port opens. We anticipate that on Monday we'll be able to make our way to Zihuatanejo bay.

Not much else is happening. We're really having a low-key couple of days. We made it to the marina pool. Unfortunately, the marina hasn't taken good care of it. The water level is low and water hasn't been filtered in some time, yuck! So we didn't spend much time there. It's unfortunate the pool isn't in better condition. They have a prime location right on the beach.

Tomorrow I think we'll test out our boogie boards....that is, if the swell and breakers are a bit smaller.

If you've considered cruising, but never had the ability to cut the ties to land, contemplate this quote from Mark Twain....."Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbor. [...]
