Tomorrow May Be Our Day

Melissa
It's Thursday night, and we've been in Turtle Bay a week. The weather is starting to calm down thus making it manageable to go north. We're considering taking off tomorrow morning and move 50 miles to the north end of Cedros. The seas will still be big, but the wind should be considerably less. Cedros would provide us some protection from the wind, and this move would tee us up for a long overnight passage Saturday and through the night. Saturday is supposed to be considerably better for traveling than Friday. We know we need to get a move on things. Since this weather window is supposed to be short lived, we'd better get a move on.

One of the sport fishers in the anchorage is taking off at first light tomorrow. We're hoping to get a report on conditions from him about an hour after he's left. If it looks good, we'll follow.

About:
If you've considered cruising, but never had the ability to cut the ties to land, contemplate this quote from Mark Twain....."Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bow lines. Sail away from the safe harbor. [...]
