Bonito

11 September 2010
2 hours before arriving in Port, our fishing line started to run, James was screaming, he was soo excited, we had to wake up Darren to come and help.

We couldn't believe it because we saw the fish swimming down the waves like dolphins it was amazing, we have never seen fish swimming like that before in our lives.

The boys were struggling to get it in, so we just had to let it run, when they finally got it on the deck, it was dead, it must have been soo tired.. We thought it was a Tuna, but our Portuguese neighbour said it was a type of flying fish and it is a Bonito.. Everyone was impressed in the marina of our catch, A french man came over to help cut it up because we didn't have a sharp enough knife to cut through the bones, He was a bit of an expert at preparing the fish and we definately learn't a thing or too !

We shared it around the marina, i think everyboat plus more that came in the next day had a piece of tuna care of Coba Libre !!
