Bye Madeira

28 September 2010
Les
We had a great 4 days with Aaron and Annika exploring Madeira,
(Im definately going to miss the girly company!)..

We made sure we did a Levada Walk, as we spoke to several people in the marina who had done them and said they were great, so we had high expectations.. We did walk no 9, which we tried to find the day before and ended up walking down the back of someones rubbish tip and a smelly rotting vegetable patch ??? It had only taken us about 20 mins before we ended up on the road, I suggest to people who walk on Madeira to be a bit more organised than we were, A map and directions would have been helpful which we left in the car !! We decided to ditch the walk and go back to AA and Annika's hotel to use the great facilities, Pool, Jacuzzi, Steam Room !! I think im going to suggest that to all of our guests please stay in a 4 - 5 star hotel when visiting !! We tried the walk again the next day and we found it, it wasn't as great as we thought but all enjoyed it.
