We Made IT ! 10.5 days

20 November 2011 | St Lucia
Les
Well we had a very un eventful sail across from America, It was a bit lumpy on the first couple of days and then the seas calmed down, We had decent winds and ended up sailing the rest of the way to the Caribbean up until the last 3 days when we had to switch the Motor on !

It wasn't a very nice trip for me as it was the first time in a long time that i felt really sea sick ? so I ended up taking sea sickness pills when I needed them, I really hope i don't feel like that going through the pacific or its not going to be fun !

We also managed to catch a nice tuna which came in at 12.5kg !! So we ended up bagging up enough meat for 12 meals, plus eating some lovely sushi and sashimi ! We also caught a Dorado which is white fish and delicious but as soon as we tried to get it on board it flicked itself off the lure.

I managed to read 1 book which was called The Help and i know that the movie is out which I downloaded, but you must read the book first, It was fantastic and the movie was very good too. James has been reading Farley Mowat books which are his true life experiences, he is a Canadian author which was recommended to us and Alan and James are hooked !
