02/01/2012, Marina Cay
We are sitting on anchor on probably one of the smallest island in the BVI's and have perfect internet !
We have been to St Barts, which was beautiful but a little expensive for us salty sea dogs, lots lovely shops like cartier, chanel etc, a little out of our price range, so we had lunch (burger and chips at the local sailor bar) and then left in the afternoon to a little anchorage for a swim before heading to St Marteen the following day !
We spent a few days in the marina in St Marteen and had to get out as quickly as we could, we are very good at spending way to much money on stuff and poor james mum has been helping me stock up the boat with food and wine as it is quite cheap in St Marteen ! I managed to find a cash and carry which was really good and james managed to find every Chandlery possible.. We also have made the decision not to go to the USVi's and head direct to the ABC islands before heading to the Panama it is recommended to do this passage and not sail direct from the BVi's to Jamaica which was going to be our route ?
After leaving St Marteen we headed to Anguilla for a lovely BBQ and afternoon on the boat swimming and turtle watching, it was amazing, We put our Q flag up and didn't even leave the boat because we needed to get up earlier and head another 8o miles to the BVi's which is where we are now !

01/22/2012, Jolly Harbour
We have had a busy few weeks in Antigua.
We have our new spray hood made which was done by A & F Sails in English Harbour they did a fantastic job, we are soooo pleased with it. We also managed to buy some shade cloth material from them and have now made (by Mrs Susan Wilson) some lovely panels for the cockpit for when we are sailing and are on anchor.
We also found a company who sell bean bags which i think is a must for comfort on long passages, its a hard to store but it is already worth it James has told me it is his afternoon reading chair.
Graham and Phaedra also arrived from Nakesa who we are hopefully going to meet up with and sail through the pacific with, We had a very lovely morning on Grahams birthday drinking bubbly on the beach then a very long lunch at Catherine's Cafe. The next few days I managed to bump into my one gene mates from Australia, Carly and Jason who both work on super yachts and just happened to be in the same place at the same time, was soo great to catch up !
We are now waiting for James mum to arrive before heading off to St Marteen and the BVI's for a nice break !

01/07/2012, Terre De Huat
We had a fantastic time in the Saints, It was a little rolly in Terre De Huat you can't anchor here anymore but you can pick up a mooring buoy for around 10 euros well that was around what we paid per night, we loved the delivery service in the mornings of fresh baguette and pastries, pain raisins especially ! You can order this service at the customs office which is a 5 minute walk from the dinghy dock, Its called LSM , they have great internet and wifi you just go and check in and out on the computer the french make it very easy !
we ended up staying for a week exploring the little island on scooter, walking up to the forte and snorkeling in every bay we could find !

I couldn't believe how much grows on this Island you could just have a little shack and live off the land, We saw cashew nut trees, almond trees, huge avocado's trees, mangoes, grapefruits, bananas, coconuts the list goes on.
We bought passion fruits and made some juice and it was delish all you need is 1 litre of water , 3 tablespoons of sugar and around 6 passion fruits boil it up and mix with a whisk, then let it cool and refrigerate , I will definitely be making that again.
This is a picture of all the different flavored rums you can buy !

12/30/2011, San Pierre, Martinique
We had a lovely sail from Grand Anse dropped the hook and rowed ashore to have a lovely lunch and enjoy the view all afternoon, This place has so much character, nice hikes and a small little town, it wiped out 30,000 people in 2mins in 1902, 2 people survived a guy in jail and someone in a cellar ! Unfortunately we don't have the time to explore because we need to head north to pick James mum up at the end of the month but its a must if you can get here !!
