Bonaire

16 February 2012 | Harbour Village Marina
Lesley
Sitting in Bonaire Marina after 3 days at sea, We left the BVI's Norman Island around lunch time and with not a lot of wind we ended up motoring for two days, the wind finally picked up but only 15 knots with squalls. We had a ship 3 miles away from us then all of sudden I couldn't see a thing, so the radar went on from then. The night sky was amazing so many stars, we can even see the Southern Cross !

Unfortunately we had 3 fish on the line but didn't manage to land them, James is blaming the new fishing lures from Australia (thanks mum and dad) but I blame him or his technique !

We are staying in the marina so we can give the boat a wash down then we are going out to the moorings its only 10 us dollars a day, You can't anchor in Bonaire as it is National Marine Park, It has amazing diving and snorkeling, We walked up to customs yesterday and the amount of fish you can see on shore WOW !

We are going to wait a few days to see if our friends Nakesa show, if not Sunday we will leave for Aruba to wait for the weather to get to Cartagena, Columbia which is also supposed to be amazing !
