We have had such a great time in Panama City, but i think we are just about ready to leave. All the provisioning is done and i really don't want to see another supermarket in the next 4 months of cruising which I'm sure we aren't going to see anyway ! We have installed a new water maker for the Pacific, we were lucky enough to find one second hand in Shelter Bay Marina for only 750 dollars what a bargain, it beats carting 5 litre water bottles back and forth from supermarkets and trying to find taps everywhere we go. We have also been waiting for parts from England for our wind generator which came quickly only 4 days until the parcel arrived. So its only fueling up with diesel and water tomorrow morning then off to Las Perlas Islands.

The first set of three locks going up, we were instructed to tie up to an Australian Boat called Impulsive and what a coincidence James actually worked on this boat while we were in Barcelona what a surprise, He even knew the guys onboard ! Its such a small world !

What a great experience, We had the best time really fun, Advisors great and we found some lovely line handlers, Dee , Pippa and Nigel thanks Guys for you help !
We waited at the flats for our Agent Ricky to come aboard, He was on time 3pm and we were off ready to go into the first set of locks the Gatun Locks, We tied up to another aussie boat driving forward into the first lock, who then had to tie up to a tug and it all went very smooth, We just had to watch it was great !

Crocodile Hunter No 2 , James went out for a little expedition with some nice canadians in the dinghy and he came back with this, like Rex Hunt would say we caught him, kissed him and put him back, No handbags were made from this !!

Its only taken me a week to get these photos on the blog but we've made it to Panama. We decided to get an agent as they supply the lines and tyres for the transit and do all the legalities, paperwork etc. We have been measured and already have our date for the transit which is going to be on the 14th of April.
We are leaving the marina tomorrow to go up the Chagres River with our friends and then come back to the marina a few days before our transit to do some more provisioning which is daunting, I have already spent 700 dollars on food and still have a lot more things to buy ! Arrrhh .. James will be going through the canal with two other boats as they are going to come through with us as line handlers otherwise you have to pay 90 dollars per line handler. If you are interested in watching us go through there is a live web cam you can watch I will find out the details and post it as soon as I can !
