Port Jefferson

It is interesting transiting toward the East River route past New York City. The jumps are long. Osterville to Block Island...ten hours. Block Island to Greensport...eight hours. Greensport to Port Jefferson...another eight hours.
However, the sailing, or motoring, is calm and certainly safe. There is fish action and the fishermen are all out. Want to know where the reefs are. The fishermen are on it. I am enjoying these incredible clear and warm days we now have. Port Jefferson has had a great renovation in the last 40 plus years since I left Long Island. We are now catching the colors, finding great restaurants. Don't miss Pasta-Pasta. This name sounds new. But the owners have been around for a long time, serving great Italian food in a quaint location at the top of the hill.
