Beautiful, beautiful seas

After a hard twenty hours with short waves, lots of pounding and twenty plus winds, just as Seth predicted, the winds shut down. Very timely as the engine did too. Yes. Engine. A quick exchange of words about the filters and some hard actions in fortunately slight roll, and we were back in business. New filters and great priming. John and Joel with Ron's support pieced this all together. Joanne, now the good news. They awoke me at 2:44 to tell me it went down again. What a great three person enterprise. John and Joel opening things up. Ron and his Engineering and Farming background working with diesels helped us predict the real problem wasn't the filters, it was a plugged diesel tank intake line. Fortunately we jury rigged a new process using another Intake line for a generator we don't have on Comocean. 14 hours later, we are running at full capacity! What a team! Lost a few hours but still aiming for Saturday arrival.
Then, morning hits, and WOW. What a sunrise and greeting. Whales, Porpoise, Shark all spotted on a lustrous flat sea. Picture. At sunrise another vessel emerges. A sailboat, driving right for us. We call, we use the hailer, we call again. He slides by...obviously fast asleep down belowdecks! Sailors. what can you say.
