Closing in!

Toby
Well, were 88 miles out. Believe it or not, that does not sound like a long way when you start out to go 1500 miles. As John said yesterday..."if you got up in the morning, looked outside and saw 28 knots and 10 foot swells, would you go out for a sail.Today, we just caught the Easterlies at about 4:00 AM. Winds are down to 18 knots, double reefed, full Genoa and doing 8 knots. Beautiful!
As we awake after our 3 hour sleeps , we have all been talking about weird dreams throughout the voyage. John remembers jumping awake as the boat took a big wave on the starboard rails..."we were on the hard and the boat had just come off the storage stands". Why he would dream about sleeping on my boat in storage,on the hard, is one for my psychologist friend Craig Waserman.
Norm awaoje wondering why were running the batteries, when we were on the dock, on shore power, since we were just about to leave for Mulligans for a hamburger and a Heiniken. At that point, we would have needed a 900 mile plug to get shore powe.
Toby has awoken a number of times with the feeling of dropping off the wall of a Cliff. Hard to do when you are at sea level.
We anticipate these prefect conditions all day, estimate a possible land fall by sun down and see ourselves in the Nanny Cay showers by 8:00 PM. With mother nature at the helm of life...probably fat chance.
