Best bar on Block Island
30 September 2013 | Manistees Restaurant, Block Island

We earned a great dinner. I had made reservations at a restaurant we scoped out on our trip North in the Spring. Manistees is a small hotel with the quaintest basement restaurant. You enter by walking down some stairs to the side door. It opens up to an 1800"s basement, bolder walls, glass walls off the sides and rear of the house, and a bar fashioned form fire places from old homes in Boston. We had a great seat at the bar, shared a drink and then transferred to closest table to the fireplace. It had been almost the first frost of the year heading out of Osterville this morning. The food was really great, just to top off a good first evening.
