Another peaceful night. Our friendly pigeon had a pleasant rest and then flew off this AM. We figured out that this probably wasn't the first time he had caught a ride on a boat or a ship. The water temperature is up to 79 degrees and getting warmer with each passing mile. We went swimming this afternoon and had a nice fresh water rinse afterward. (Continued...)

Well, to those of you who noticed, we have been a bit lazy with the blog for the last few days. Since we left Horta we have been 'smoking' along at 7 to 8 knots the whole time, 36 hours of which were spent in gale. As you can see in the picture we had another visitor today. We believe it is a carrier pigeon and he is beautiful! He is clean, muscular, and colorful. He has tags on both legs and has been with us for around 8 hours or so.We gave him some nice fresh water and he was very happy about that! We figure that he is on his way between islands and has stopped for rest and fuel aboard the boat with the cool people on it. (Continued...)
