We left Panama City, Panama yesterday. We had been there for nearly 6 months. Although it's a great city, with parks, museums, an interesting history and touristy things to do, we were ready to leave.

After realizing that we needed 4 more bolts to install our dinghy wheels and 10 more gallons of fuel, which gave us a 2 hour delay in leaving, we hauled the anchor and sailed the entire 30 miles down to Las Perlas Islands. We are currently anchored between 2 islands and although there is a strong current here, the water is flat. Something we rarely saw in Panama City. I had forgotten what a calm anchorage felt like and woke up several times last night wondering why we weren't moving.

Today is our 25th wedding anniversary and we celebrated by decompressing, sewing a patch on the sail cover, scrubbing the bottom of the boat and eating way too many M & M's. A good day.

We plan to spend a few more days here enjoying this quiet anchorage then we will take off for the Galapagos. Several boats are headed there this time of year. 3 boats left today from this anchorage alone. It will take us 8 to 10 days to get there.

My goal is to update our location every day but if it's rough I will be neglectful. I hate being down below because I get seasick and looking at a computer screen makes it worse.
