Wind...again

19 November 2012 | Bahia Los Frailes
Julie
We are feeling a little trapped on board today. The wind is gusty with speeds up to 25 knots. I'm not happy when it's gusty. The boat swings one way in the gusts, the wind dies, the boat swings the other way then a blast of 25 knot wind slams into the side of the boat, pushing us back the other way. I guess that I should be happy that today was an at-anchor day and not a sailing day. Sailing in gusts makes me even unhappier.

We ate the Mahi Mahi last night but since I'm new to cooking fish, I wasn't happy with the results. I found a sweet-spicy rub recipe that is supposed to be good on Mahi Mahi so I'll try that out today.

We had a good fish show yesterday as dusk. Bat rays were flying through the air and there are fish swimming all over right next to the boat. The water is so clear that we can see them way below the surface.
