Punta Ipala

21 December 2012 | Punta Ipala

Wow! the anchorage at Yelapa was rocking and rolling last night! We were greeted by 'El Buly' (the name of a panga) outside the entrance to Yelapa. El Buly had a mooring available for rent for the night for 200 pesos. We accepted the offer and followed him in. We hooked up to the mooring and immediately put the flopper stopper out. I'm not sure if it did any good because we were rolling all nights. A stern anchor may have helped but the boats that had one out were moving around pretty good too.

We left Yelapa at first light and headed for another one night stop at Punta Ipala. It's much more protected and even though some swell gets in, we are comfortable. We've only been here for an hour and a half so I hope that doesn't change!

Ken caught a spotted tuna on the way down so we are going to have it for dinner tonight.
