Yay! Got underway yesterday morning and headed for the Bahamas! I'm on the Chesapeake Bay headed south today and should be in NC sometime tomorrow. VERY cold night last night and this morning. Slept under a ton of blankets. I have a small kerosene heater on board but I don't like to use it while sleeping. It's great in the evenings though as it toasts up the main cabin wonderfully. Can't seem to drink enough hot coffee this morning to warm up but I figure every mile I travel south is a mile warmer!
VERY rough weather offshore all this week so, it looks as though I'll be traveling the ICW (Inland waterway) for several days until things calm down offshore.
