Unstuck!
11 November 2010 | South of Coinjock North of Albamarle Sound
I left Great Bridge this morning at 0545 in the dark! Got through the Great Bridge bridge and 2 others before the sun was fully up. I'm now anchored in the North River on the north side of the Albermarle Sound plulled up close to the shoreline to try to get a bit of a wind break. The wind was still 20 plus knots today and COLD! Tomorrow is predicted to be the same...I'm definitely not far enough south yet! :)
I was able to replace my chartplotter/radar screen yesterday after giving a nice electronics guy A LOT of my money! Oh well...
Tomorrow I plan to cross the Albermarle Sound. It is still blowing hard offshore with 28' waves now being reported...yikes! Sunday or Monday is the first time things are predicted to settle down and I'll see if I can get offshore then.
Time to fix dinner and watch a movie on board! Later....
