finally depart Provincetown for South Dartmouth
25 June 2009
The weather has been against us for the last several days.... gale winds up to 40 knots, rain and fog.... it cleared up for a while yesterday afternoon... We managed to row the dingy to shore for a quick visit to town as the harbor launch was not yet running regularly.. Anyway, we decided to take a chance on the weather and left this morning.
Still lots of fog... thank goodness for radar and gps... we had a good run through the fog to the Cape Cod Canal. Finally the weather cleared and twe had a quick passage (up to 9.6 knots) through the canal to Buzzards Bay.
On to South Dartmouth and New Bedford Yacht Club... a long day, but finally on a pleasant mooring for the night.
