Crew Showers

13 December 2017 | MV Reel Dreams, Pacific Ocean
Janice
Day 13 and we are in another area of squalls. Yesterday was calmer during the day so we did another laundry day and fuel transfer jobs. Bud and Andy have already done filter and oil changes on each engine on the go and they had to change one alternator after a few days out from Monterey Bay. Otherwise the boat is going well. Until today Bud had backed off the revs to conserve fuel reserves but with 4 days to run, a good reserve and having eventually picked up a favourable easterly current and wind on the stern we are now flying at 7 knots instead of 4-4.5 knots. Janice is still soldiering on with the motion and some sickness. Bud is doing the cooking (he really enjoys it) and makes sure there is good food for Janice. We all get regular showers including Bubba the dog. Looking forward to Honolulu and a few days recovery before starting the leg to Majuro. PICTURE : Bubba having a shower in the galley sink
