Away from the bright lights

Hi all! We're in Esema Bay, having arrived yesterday after a stunning sail from Port Vila. Following breeze, low swell and sunny sky all made for a memorable day. We were in the 7 to 7.5 knot range much of the time but very comfortable. We are anchored in 13 metres on sand and spent today ashore delivering a parcel to Meten Village then having a look at WWll relics at Port Havannah. We went over there by dinghy and found a British yacht that was beached on sand and rock - apparently the owner took up with a local girl and his boat was anchored off the village and dragged anchor and holed itself - he ran it up on the beach and there it remains gradually deteriorating. Tomorrow we're up early and sailing for Lamen Bay on Epi Island. We'll send a post from there. Not in internet-land so no pics pro tem - just my glowing prose. Cheers from John and Shauna
