Well, three more sleeps until we are finished with shore things! Destiny is getting a bit tetchy, being more than ready to head into the Pacific. Last minute consultations with Bernie Hudson, our Infection and Tropical Disease specialist, have led us to briefly consider staying at home in the bedroom - what with scrub typhus, leptospirosis, cerebral malaria, dengue, amoebic dysentery, hepatitis A,B,C et al, not to mention diseases induced by the medications used to prevent these infections. What the heck - we could get hit by a bus on the way to work.
We're hoping to be off Sunday 20 April. We'll keep this blog updated as possible, and will be adding position reports to the little map
