March 10
Rock Sound, Eleuthera
After 9 days at Cat Island, it was time to move on. We were expecting light winds and prepared to motor-sail to Little San Salvador where we waited until the following morning to go to Rock Sound, Eleuthera.
Little San Salvador is a cruise-ship destination where cruisers aren't welcome during the day. On our way to Little San Salvador, a pod of dolphins greeted us and Dick was able to get a movie with several dolphins around the boat for a long distance.
On our way to Rock Sound we enjoyed a light-air day where we were able to use our spinnaker once again! Even though we fished during the entire day, no fish were harmed during the process. Once again, they escaped.
When we arrived here, First Edition and Phase II were here ahead of us. We have enjoyed several days of their company, had a lovely Happy Hour on Phase II, and went to Rosie's Nort' Side Beach Restaurant for a great Bahamian dinner and walk on the beautiful beach in front of her place. Rosie picks you up and returns you to the dock, which is a very nice service. After re-provisioning, refueling, and obtaining free water from the settlement, we will be heading out soon to go further north.
