Cruising on Diomedea
In 2008 Diomedea cruised the SW Pacific but for now she is confined to the eastern Australian coast.

Please view the new pix in the photo gallery, in the album Nouvelle Caledonie. I am sorry these did not get in earlier but internet in Noumea was dreadful and we did not have enough time. Please enjoy.

We have arrived back in Australia
David and Andrea
27/09/2008, Coffs Harbour

At 1830hr EST the docklines were made fast and Diomedea came to rest in the first real marina since NZ. Within a few minutes customs came aboard and sadly the quarantine officer took all our meat including the dinner which we had precooked for this evening. The last 24 hrs of the trip was all motoring in virtually no wind. A seabreeze came up as we got to 18nm off the coast but it was too little too late.
Overall it was one of the easiest passages we have done despite the 860nm distance covered.
Of course we were lucky with the weather and we are naturally thrilled to have done this trip. Now only 240nm to go to Sydney. The total distance of the entire cruise will be in excess of 7000nm. Andrea and I are feeling a lot more confident now with the knowledge that Diomedea can handle just about anything thrown at her.
