We are now the proud owners of a new dinghy - meet 'Rubber Duck'.

Bruce had the initial excitement of opening the box and it was a joint effort inflating her before launching her into the sea and christening her 'Rubber Duck' and 'Tender to Distant Drummer'.

I had the honour of the maiden voyage and tested out her rowing capabilities. For a change I didn't row in a circle so it's much better than the old one (a wetline roundtail).



We then added the outboard engine and took her for a spin around the Marina. After successful 'sea trials' we spent the remainder of the day deciding how to fit her onto the davits. Weighting in at only 18kg, she's certainly lighter compared to the old one which, no doubt Drummer appreciates.

As for the old dinghy, well we placed a 'A Vendre' (for sale) advert on her and she was sold within 2 days - excellent!
