When we visited last July everywhere we went was hustle and bustle. Cafes, bars, restaurants were full, the beach was full of sun worshipers, hobie cats were being hired out and you could barely walk along the breakwater without having to weave through men and children fishing with nets over the sides.

Now in the month of September, several cafes, bars and restaurants appear to be shut. The breakwater is empty - we were the only ones walking along it!

A few yachts arrived, the majority of them making use of the last of the sailing season before leaving their boat somewhere locally for winter and returning home.

Even the mosquitoes, ever present here have become dozy. Mind you, they are still biting but we're now in the position to be able to kill them as they are far too slow to fly away.

It's amazing how quickly it's changed...
