These two gulls had a bit of a shock when they expected to land in water but instead landed on ice!

It's not unusual to find the water frozen to a depth of at least 1" during the winter months according to our French friend Louis.

The day soon warmed up though with a visit from Dominique and John, owners of HT Tapestry who we met last year. It was a shame that they couldn't stay for lunch/dinner but still wonderful to catch up.
