When we bought Flirtie we noticed that she has some very heavy duty UV protection on her sails - great news.

All very good but if the stitching isn't upto the same standard then the two part company in time. Unfortunately this is what has started to happen recently on our genoa.

With mains electricity available to us on the marina....we dropped the genoa and ran an additional line of stitching across the foot of the sail and a couple of the diagonals. Hopefully this will keep everything under control until the end of the season.
