Apparently street food festivals are taking Europe by storm and are very popular with the locals. We paired up with our new boat yard neighbours Yvonne and Carlson from 'Midnight Sun' to attend the local festival in Portimao.

Various size food vans lined the edges of the square selling hot dogs, burgers, pork rolls, mexican, pizzas, pancakes and beer. The centre was filled with tables and chairs and music played (old and new hits) from speakers strategically placed around the square.

By the time we arrived, huge queues were forming for both food and beer. Once we worked out that we had to exchange euro's for paper slips as payment then we joined the locals in the queues for our chosen food too!
