Diva Di's Cruising Adventures

Awaiting Sea Trial later today - update

24 March 2015
Our plan to take the boat out for a good run on Mon was thwarted by some thunderstorms that rolled through with another mild front. We have had absolutely delightful weather with low humidity and temps in the low to mid-80s for quite a few weeks, but now that we are getting ready to leave, we get unsettled weather.

We took the boat out into the harbor for a 30 minutes run at cruise speed. All the gauges read normal and the amount of smoke at speed was no more than the good-running engine on starboard, and certainly appeared normal to me. I checked for any fluid leakage and saw none, so it would appear we have success with the turbo replacement! Yeah!

We did, however, run harder than normal cruise power on the way back and the port engine showed a bit higher temperatures than normal. It is probably just a temporary air bubble in the coolant.

As it stands now, the next time we use the boat will be when we depart on Fri morning to start the big journey.
