Spring in Green Bay
Well It's typical in this area to go from winter to summer over a period of about a week or so but this year, we've had 80 degrees in March and 40 degrees in June so it isn't a normal year. Esperance has been in the water for more than a month and we've been out a couple times. I rigged an HF Ham antenna that tunes nicely on 10, 15 and 20 meters but it came down in a 35 kt. squall requiring our svelte friend, Carole to ascend in the bosun's chair to grab the line from the spreader. Now I'll leave it stowed unless we're at anchor. Last week our 7 month old grandson and his lovely parents joined us for a daysail. Davits should be on in a couple of weeks so we can start cruising in earnest. Well, as earnestly as any pre-retired soul can
