Have now completed a number of minor projects and dragonfly is now moved to her dry dock location. have finished the companionway boards, put her name and port of call on the stern, and managed to remove the sink and faucet so that I can better figure out tankage for fresh and grey water. Tempted to install a through hull for that but have not quite decided on what I want to do.
Additional cleats have been installed as well as u bolts on the stern.
Material to re sole the boat is now present, and that will be the next big project after I paint the interior. As soon as I figure out the best paint for fiberglass. I am thinking any exterior grade paint should be plenty especially after sanding and an application of KILZ.
More updates as the opportunity presents.

Got the first side of the companionway boards stained tonight. Also went over the 10 year financial plan that will ultimately allow for the "Big Trip".
Too hot to do much work on the boat. By way of explanation, this is my "starter" sailboat. I am using it to learn the basics of ship board systems as well as seamanship. She is a fractionally rigged sloop without a backstay so I am limited to running without a spinnaker. I do intend to eventually rig a whisker pole for the 150% genny. That with a preventer will make running before the wind a significantly easier chore. Right now I can run at about 80% of hull speed in force 2 conditions with the rather tired sails that came with this boat. Actually I am pretty happy with that.
Any way, if heat cooperates tomorrow, then I will be doing a lot of the little bolt on projects that I have been procrastinating about.

Not much to report. Day was filled with moving of heavy objects and cleaning out the garage in preparation for the upcoming work on Dragonfly.
Discovered that CruiseAir 5000 puts a LOT of water in the cabin of the boat, and I am glad I placed a bucket underneath the unit. I need to move on my plan to place a portable room conditioner with a vent and appropriate drain on the boat, its just a matter of cost and what and where is cheapest.
Otherwise whupped. Here is a nice picture from the lake last week from vacation. Vodka tonic and TV on the agenda for the rest of the night.
Hot and horrible

Do not know why harbor freight sells brass sextants and compasses, but I decided the price was right and would look nice in the office. Maybe one day I will actually learn how to use it, but I suspect potential anaphylaxis to the Trig involved.
Bluffet tonight, pic-nic with the in laws tomorrow, swearing and sweating in the evening as the interior and deck hardware refit continues.
Son wants to start a sailing blog for our hybrid sloop/lanteen rigged canoe, 9 is a cute age. Plan to link to said blog tomorrow sometime.
