We got into Chemala a bit late in the day after a day of light sailing and motoring. We settled down for a quiet dinner and an eveningon the boat.

In the morning, Bill, Matt, and April jumped into the water and swam to shore so they could run the 3 miles of beach. Oh to be young and fit.

Later in the morning, some local pangaleros (fishermen) were just off our boat making a bunch of noise. We went up to see what was going on. Apparently the control arm of their outboard engine had come loose and they could not control their boat. After a bunch of hand signaling and broken Spanish, we figured out they needed a wrench. Out came the tool kit and in a few minutes, they were on their way. Good deed done fo rthe day. Later in the day, on their way back in, they stopped by to drop off a huge bucket of fresh fish. Made for some delicious grilled pescado for dinner.
