The journey has begun

Today we started our journey when we dropped the mooring line that has been our home for the past month. As we cruised down the Piscataqua River for what would be the last time for at least a year, it just didn't seem real. For me, it seems like we are just going on vacation for a while. Lisa thinks it will eventually hit me after a couple weeks of going places we have never been. Our good friends the Berniers will accompany us for the first several weeks as we hop around the Cape and the Islands. Which is just what the Doctor ordered for Helen's recovery. Our first stop was the Isle of shoals where we moored for the night so we could get an early start for Provincetown on the Cape. The shoals were beautiful with very little wind and an amazing sunset. It's a lot different out here on a week night with several cruisers around. Our neighboring boat was hailing from Sweden. On the maintenance side of things, I spent another hour working on the head after replacing the Y Valve, still no luck. Can't seem to figure out why the pressure is building and not releasing. Oh well that's for another day. We will just have to resort to the manual pump in the other head. If anything, you get a good arm workout. With a 5AM start planned for the morning, it's off to bed early tonight.
