This morning we departed the Isle Of shoals. Our sendoff was a beautiful sunrise as we fixed a course towards Provincetown. We made good time with flat seas and winds ranging from 5-10K from the SE. We motor sailed for the majority of the trip, but were able to kill the engines and sail around 8 knots. During the 11 hour trip, we were amazed at the number of whales we saw. The kids were absolutely elated when they would breach and bubble feed. Our original plan was to anchor behind Sandy Point, however, the forecast was for winds of up to 50 knots from Tropical storm Beryl. So, we decided to pick up a mooring for the night.
