New Port

Nantucket is a great little town if you are on vacation and don't mind spending lots of time and money shopping. It's not so great if you are on a fixed budget, so we decided to head up to Hyannis. Yesterday, we pulled up anchor and headed out. The forecast had called for a wind shift to the west and we were heading due north. We had hoped to sail most of the way but the shift never occurred so we ended up motoring the entire 20 miles. The good news is the wind had died down so we weren't beating into a strong head wind. After setting anchor we were anxious to check out the town and have a meal out. If you have never been to Hyannis, you should know that this is the busiest ferry port on the Cape, and is where most of the ferry traffic flows getting to the Vineyard and Nantucket. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the Black Cat. Lisa really enjoyed a night off from cooking. There was music and it was a nice change of pace. We really splurged!
