The sea trial and survey have been completed and the closing date is set. After months of searching and several trips to Florida and Annapolis we have finally found the boat that will be our home for the next year or two. The boat is a 1998 43' Voyage Catamaran named Stargazer, which we will most likely rename. Once we settled on a catamaran our next toughest challenge was finding a boat with sufficient headroom for the 6'4" captain. Several other musts that we had was a solid sailing vessel, adequate galley space, storage, and engine access outside the boat. Stargazer fit the bill and is already well equipped for extended cruising with solar panels, watermaker, screecher, SSB, Rader/GPS etc.. Things we will consider over the winter months are AC and a Genset. She is currently on the hard near Solomon's Island, MD were she will sleep through the winter.
