Looks can be SO deceiving! After an easy six hour trip (1/3 sailing, 2/3 motor sailing) we dropped our anchor in a beautiful bay surrounded by reefs – at low tide one side dries enough that people walk miles out! We knew the anchorage would be a little rolly at high tide, but that didn’t prepare us for an entirely miserable night in washing machine seas! The Pacific swells wrapped around the reef causing crazy seas - no sleep for us! I ended up sideways in the bed and Bruce slept (or tried to) in the main salon floor – we could hardly wait for sunrise to leave!
