November 12 – 13, 2014 We arrived in Cartagena during one of their festival times – too fun! The whole country takes off three work days (plus a weekend!) and parties! We went to the big parade and sat on the old city wall (along with a few hundred thousand others) and enjoyed the local food, colorful costumes and beautiful women of Colombia. The revelry includes people walking around spraying everyone with a long canister of white foam (it smells like soap and disappears quickly) and even the locals dressed crazy with bright colored wigs and painted faces!
