Success! We were able to add Cali to our flights, so we'll spend four days there at the end of our trip. Upon our arrival in Bogota (seven million population) we were surprised to see hail (granizada- a word we hope to never hear again) on the ground - yikes! What a shock – thankfully it melted and temperatures made it to 70 with lows in the 50's. Our hotel is too cute! La Muisca Hotel is in the historic La Candelaria area and has a colonial/Muisca indian motif with an interior courtyard, fountains and brick/stucco architecture. We enjoyed dinner tonight at the Gato Gris and shared our table with a new friend Susan, from Arizona. A sad note to the day – we accidentally left Bruce's camera case (with Canon camera, video camera and smartphone nightvision lens) in our taxi when we arrived at the hotel – was hoping the taxi driver would return it. Not yet. Sigh.
