The final Colombian city on our land trip! Cali is known as the cultural capital of Salsa music - but I'm afraid we are both a bit rusty in this area (read: we have NO idea how to salsa!). The origin of the word "Cali" comes from the local Amerindians the "Calima" or "Calimas" and with an estimated population of 2.3M it is the second largest city in Colombia. Our hotel is located in the San Antonio section of the city and is surrounded by small restaurants, coffee shops, hostels and museums
