January 27 – February 1, 2016 Upon arrival we anchored just off of Land Sea Marina and checked into the country via walking/taxi into town. During the week we made multiple trips to the grocery stores, duty free shops, surfed the web, had dinner almost every night at Banana Bay Marina, I worked on my online painting lessons (journaling and sketching) and we repaired minor items that broke during the passage. A lovely anchorage, but not much wind – very hot during the day, cooling down at night. We made new cruising friends – Betsy and Kenny (s/v Alcyone), Steven and Sandra (s/v Yonder), Jackie and Jake (heading to California after a five year circumnavigation on s/v O’Hokule’a), Danielle, Jake, Hannah and Katelyn (s/v O’Hana) and Jessie and Neil (s/v Red Thread). Lots of fun!
